Ken Price
Collected Writings and Ephemera
February 19 - April 20, 2010
Franklin Parrasch Gallery is pleased to present Ken Price: Collected Writings and Ephemera in our Garden Apartment space at 20 West 57th Street. The entire Garden Apartment is dedicated to the display of nearly fifty years of critical discourse on the work of Ken Price, along with rare graphic projects, exhibition catalogues, tequila bottles and a documentary film.
Timed in conjunction with three New York gallery shows of Price’s work - at Brooke Alexander Gallery, Matthew Marks Gallery, and Nyehaus - this presentation serves to further the pool of knowledge and understanding of this artist’s enormously complex and richly diverse work from the past five decades.
Writers, curators, and Ken Price enthusiasts of all stripes are invited to read, view and interact with this comprehensive selection of material that reflects upon the artist’s fifty plus-year career.
Please call or email to arrange and confirm a private viewing time, as appointments are limited within gallery hours (Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 6 pm).
